CP16 — Commercial Boiler Inspection Certificate

The CP16 is issued following detailed inspection of commercial and industrial boiler installations — covering the boiler plant, heat exchangers, flue systems, controls, pressurisation equipment, and associated pipework.Particularly relevant for the large boiler plant installations found in care homes, hotels, schools, hospitals, and major industrial and commercial premises across the North of England. Required annually by most commercial insurers as evidence of boiler compliance.Every CP16 inspection includes full combustion analysis, heat exchanger inspection, burner strip and check, safety device testing, and a detailed written inspection report alongside the certificate.

CP17 — Commercial Gas Installation Safety Report

The CP17 covers inspection and certification of existing gas installations in commercial premises — including pipework systems, meter installations, emergency controls, and associated equipment.Commonly required for commercial property acquisitions, lease renewals, insurance renewals, and post-incident assessments. We carry out CP17 inspections across the North of England for commercial landlords, property managers, facilities managers, and duty holders responsible for commercial premises compliance.

CP42 — Commercial Kitchen Gas Safety Certificate

The CP42 is the annually required gas safety certificate for every commercial kitchen. It covers all gas-fired catering appliances — ranges, ovens, fryers, grills, salamanders, combi ovens, pasta cookers — together with the gas interlock system, ventilation, and gas pipework throughout the kitchen.Required by Environmental Health Officers during food business inspections, by insurers, and by licensing authorities. Applies to restaurants, hotels, pubs, takeaways, care homes, schools, hospitals, and all food service operators regardless of size.Certificates issued on the day of inspection.
